Schwimmer BING Vergaser frage (english)

Hi thanks for lots of help with the previous questions (many) in getting the vehicle working.

Is the particular item in question.
When re-assembling the carburetor (Vergaser), the design of the carburetor is flawed so that it is easy to get the float crooked, so that the needle was bent and binged against the inside port, causing both the port to be damaged and the needle to be damaged. It is a bad design from the engineers of BING to allow for such an issue to begin with!
It was managed that the needle was re-machined (sharpened), but now I need the correct length between the needle tip and the start of the Schwimmer (the float), from someone (SPORTI) that already knows what it should be, or can easily measure it from spare-part stock. It is possible to pull the needle completely out of the float, so now it is a question of 'How far', as in 'What is the distance the tip of the needle should extend from the top of the float?' Or if you like, measure from the base of the float (including the height of the Schwimmer).

Also, for reference, since the port was dinged-up, I left the needle installed in the Mini-bormaschine after re-pointing it, and re-polishing it (using a 1 2 and 3 emory board set for women's nails), and ran it hard against the port, to 'encourage' the shape of the port to mate with the needle. This seemed to work.
Already, the length of the needle has been extended about 1 to 2 mm to make up for the lost tip. The question is how critical is the length? If the float is too low, how much does this affect carburetor performance?
