The NL-Version has one stronger needle bearing and the housing is different.
That was made by Sachs to avoid that people can change gearing.

ARG!!! SACHS!!! Thank you for the comment.
Now, Any comment on the front rack assembly, 5-gear rear derailer or other questions?
I need to make up the budget of parts for May.

Re: Wer kann ihm helfen?
You should be an advanced hobbyist to adapt a 5-gear rear derailer.
It must be installed and adjusted correctly. Remember that the chain isn't as wide as the orignal is. And some other problems may occur.
Some of us have a five speed gear installed. Only very few really use it.

Re: Wer kann ihm helfen?
Hi
Personally i cant figure out why ye should install a five gear speed on the bike. Cos ye have a engine when ye get tired off peddeling. Or it is a restricted area where engine use isn,t allowed so ye have to use ye legs,
Never the less, yeah it can be done. I didn,t do it myself cos i love the smell off the exhaust gases.

Re: Wer kann ihm helfen?
If it is too difficult to pedal you can get different sizes off chain sprockets for the rear wheel.
These are much easier to mount. Just unscrew the one you have and screw the new one on. After, the chain has to be adjusted in length.
I think you can get the sprockets from 18 to 22 teeth.

B6HS vs BP4 NGK
Getting this tuned better:
Can someone post the differences between these plugs?
The B6HS seemed to run all right and start strong when the engine was cold.
With the BP4, installed last week, the engine seems to intermittently miss when cold, until it is warmed-up.

Re: Wer kann ihm helfen?
Ndrscons,
Spark plugs are mysterious. Each manufacturer has their own system. Here is a link that will give you some answers but raise more questions.
http://www.sparkplugs.com/learning-cent ... sion-chart
According to the chart the recommended plug Bosch WR 10FC is a hot plug, the NGK BP4 is a similar heat range. I have never used a BP4 plug, the Bosch plug works fine.
In the past I would "tune" carbureted engines with a special spark plug made with a glass insulator. It enabled me to see the fire in the cylinder and tune the carburetor to get the right color. Just like adjusting a bunsen burner, you want a bright blue, indicating a hot and pure burn.
Yoeklo, I love it that you like the exhaust smell. Here the bicyclists don't like the smell so I add a fragrance. My exhaust smells like lemons. There is an additive that the drag racers use to hide the smell of nitro methane and it works well with gasoline too. You can add all sorts of smells like strawberry or vanilla or whatever you like, it is fun.

Re: Wer kann ihm helfen?
Hi
Well i never did hear off that 1 myself. But i can certanly try it out. But i have no idea where i can buy this. And i didn,t have any complains wot so effer over mine exhaust smell from any 1. But thats isn, true to a certain degree , lool. Mine neigbours wife did complain 1 time about the smel of it. But i wos running a special mixture off petrol at that time. Did have some issue,s with a engine. And i cant stand the fact that a engine off mine won,t run the way i wont it to run. It makes me very crumpy
So i keep fiddeling arround with it until its just runs fine. And sometimes this means, ye need a special mixture off petrol for a while. Just to smooth things out. Ye can say, to take the sharp edges off. So its all fine and well tuned agian. Afther a while i work mine way back to the basic doping off the petrol. And listen to the engine if its stil fine and well tuned. And if all is good and i don,t have to take the engine apart into bits and peaces. Cos 1 part is a total piece off junk. I put a sigh on it, for sale. So i can support mine own hobby
And when its sold i buy a other piece off junk and start to rebuild this 1 also till its all fine and good looking again. And wil sel this 1 also.
Well i have 1 spartamet wich i cant sell cos mine wife is using this 1. But this is a total rebuilt also engine wise. Its a 199 and i love these machines. They never brake down and keep up running until they run out off petrol. This is the best engine there is. Well, i have a lot off pictures off this re-built. And when ye see the state it wos in when i bought the engine. Ye wouldn,t believe me when i said, its runnig agian. And allready made a lot off miles on the road. This engine is used on a daily basis. And never had any hickup wot so effer. Ye simply cant destroy a 199 engine. I put in 2 new crankshaft bearings and a new piston + piston ring + 2 new seals and all wos fine agian.

Re: Wer kann ihm helfen?
Yoekio,
You are truly worthy, what we call a motor head. The stuff is called fuel fragrance, it is a LA hot rod thing, they use it to keep nitro methane from stinging your eyes. Have no idea what is in the stuff. Here is the link to the guys that make it
http://www.manhattanoil.com/index.php
and Sporti might like some of the pictures
