it's fine. imo. I am learning a lot.
there seems to be no other english information on the spartomette or saxonette anywhere on the 'net. Thanks to all the thread participants and Sporti.
What I find with the BP4 is the engine seems to need more choke when warming up. The B6HS didn't seem to have this problem, or as much.
But then again, when I went to go take the B6HS out, I noticed it had worked it's way loose, so - not wanting to damage it I had not tightened it enough into the threads initially. The second check of tightness was when going to remove it.
The engine seems good. I'll switch back to the B6HS at least momentarily, to determine the fitness, running performance.
I use about 12.5 ml of 2-cycle oil per litre of fuel, to get the right balance? Right? And only use the top octane fuel with no ethanol!!
Someone mentioned using a 1:80 ratio with the Wolle ICD and an otherwise stock engine with a Bing carb.
Also, any comments on ventilation... someone said additional ventilation is not necessary on a bing carb (air intake increase). Certainly it needs to be choked on that BP4 until it's fully warmed-up.
Fascinating bike btw. Would like any additional comments on the front rack assembly or other suggested aftermarket parts. The front shocks look like they could use new seals. Not sure if it's dirt or leakage. This is all for the beginning of May, next month. Very soon now. Basically beginning this coming weekend; the order of parts.
