So can someone explain the difference then? They seem physically identical, the old SACHS filter which was falling apart (the gummi was soft but disintegrating) and the TT filter?

Yes. I got that opinion from the conversation. I was wondering if there was anything else besides that claim. Is TT a generic brand or something? Is there really something physically different? What about other alternatives besides the OEM SACHS.

I actually don,t know if there is anything physically different between a Original 1 and a TT one. But i recon not. Other wise it wouldn,t fit right . But its know by the drivers that a TT 1 doesn,t allow to get the right amount off air into the engine.So the engine is always struckeling for more air.

Sure ye can adjust the air flow into the engine to get arround the air intake from a TT airfilter. Lets keep it in "getting more air into the engine ". But the basic line here is, it just doesn,t give enough air into the engine ( damn mine english grammer isn,t wot is used to be ). I think its the stuff wots rapped arround the air filter wots keeping the air out.

But there are manny types off air filters. Some give a lot off air. And some give a little. Wots good for your engine, i don,t know, sorry. I am fiddeling arround with like 4 engines All 4 are running. Well 3 are lmao. 1 is in need off a part in the carb. But somehow i don,t get arrond to order that part cos new parts are so damn expensive. I recon i have to sell 1 spartamet so i can buy a old 1 agian for parts. And scarp the rest But than agian, i can only drive 1 spartamet at the time. But the fun for me lies in the fact that i love to fix broken engines. And to fix them with used parts. Not new 1,s. So i have a challange lying ahead off me cos, how do i make the coffer plate off a gas handle. And there lies the fun for me.

The same go,s for a float needle.I recon i have like 10 broken needles lying arround. All the tips are rotten beyond use. I just need to figure out how i can charpen them agian in a way so they stop the flow off petrol in to the float chamber. ( i don,t use a membrane in mine carbs ) So this part is very critical for me. If this part fails, mine engine won,t start. It wil drown in petrol
